This strong tea has an underlying sweetness that interestingly lends itself very well as a late evening tea too. It's a black tea with none of the maltiness that some others of the same genre have and that is exactly what makes the Yunnan gold black tea so special. It will wake you up pretty good in the morning with its deep earthy notes with the sweetness of cedar and honey thrown in for good measure.

Use porcelain or yixing teaware for better taste, one tea spoon for 8 oz water, add boiled water at 100°C (212°F), and are suitable for multiple infusions. It is important not to over brew the teas as they will easily go bitter.
